Who we are
Edutainment for Youth (E4Y) aims to provide a unique, digital opportunity for young people to explore simulated experiences that address issues they may come across in their day-to-day life. Through a fun, cool and engaging e-learning experience in an entertaining environment, users will be provided with innovative tools to develop their social skills and become more aware of issues that affect both themselves and their community.
In particular for young people, the lack of development of civic and social skills may affect their enjoyment of adolescent years, and can limit their authentic and meaningful participation within their community. E4Y will help in facilitating their organic, individual development by giving them the power of knowledge and consciousness to become active citizens, and potentially mobilise their own communities to change. For any long term and sustainable capacity building and empowerment plan, young people as one of the key players of any civil society in a near future, could and shall not be ignored.
As a newly established entity, Edutainment for Youth has chosen to be country specific in its initial efforts, in order to make the most of limited resources while setting realistic and achievable goals in regard to our projects. Our efforts are currently focused on Iran – and the Farsi speaking community in a wider context – for several reasons; one critical reason being the poor and scarce opportunities for young Iranians to learn certain social skills at school, via media, at home, or within their community.
E4Y brought a diverse group of skilled professional colleagues together to build up a strong team of experts with a wide range of experience and potential. We are working closely with local and international researchers, human rights educators and advocates, child rights activists, social impact game developers and academia. E4Y aims to incorporate young people as much as possible during the process of its work.
Edutainment for Youth is based in London, United Kingdom, but has staff and partners in Iran, Germany, France, Canada, Netherlands, and the United States. Edutainment for Youth is also connected to a network of other companies, NGOs, and groups of activists who run similar projects in other countries and regions.
